K_McPartlin Posted February 4, 2014 Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 I have a Hifonics 12 in my room and when its hits deep bass its fine,On low bass you can fell it in you chest.(Low deep bass) Higher bass it makes a ping sound and i think its the voice coil? But as for the ringing, have you played a straight tone to make sure it's coming from your sub? Now about the sub what size box? What is the tuning at? What amp? How did you set the gains? Do you have bass boost on? When moving the sub manually i cant fell any rubbing or anything. Amp is a Sony MHC-Ec909ip(bookshelf system) Bassboost is on but with it turned off cant fell the bass till 1/2 up.
