Krakin
Don't worry about resin. You can do that later if needed. The bracing, will help a lot with keeping down the box flex. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. audiA6_audio
http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/175387-first-documented-enclosure-hcca-12-rf-2500-1-bdcp/#entry2581853 ^^ the aforementioned enclosure Numbers wise it seems to be a good match. how it performs in your vehicle may differ. I assume you're going for a daily/ loud as shit, kind of setup. your truck may sound better with a different port/ sub orientation but honestly without building 4 different enclosures you wont truly know what you like best. There are plenty of opinions on where to put port and face subs but there are soo many variables its almost not worth the argument. Its my honest opinion that the enclosure you have designed with proper construction/bracing/mounting should perform to your desires. if not you can always "rip er' down" and start over. hope i have helped
