Its a Hifonics GLX2200.1 that seems about as loud as my two MTX RFL1200.1s were together so I think its pretty close to rated power (1600 at 2ohms, 2200 at 1ohm). Is there some way that I can use a DMM for instance to measure what it's actually putting out? Will I blow my DMM if I hook it up to my amp lol? I also bought an Exile 2400.1 off ebay a couple months ago and it's certainly more powerful, I'm just kind of curious how much so. A lot of the components look similar inside, and some (like the capacitors on the board) are actually higher rated on the Hifonics which surprised me. CleanSierra Posted February 9, 2014 Report Share Posted February 9, 2014 Send it off and get it tested by someone with an AD-1 or wait until the new AMM-1 comes out and buy that and test it. Doing clamp tests with a DMM and clamp meter are inaccurate and have been proven so. On a side note, why does it even matter how many Watts it puts out? If you're happy with how loud your setup gets, who cares? Just take it how it was sold, as a 2200 Watt amp. I don't see the need to calculate exact wattage. Im not the one you want to try to troll.
