The boxes turned out really nice!!! Couple questions:

1) Are the boxes the same size? The width of the boxes looks about the same (or close?), but one of them has the inset side. It looks like about 3"? That would make a significant difference in box volume and affect tuning.

2) What is your port area per cu.ft? The ports look really small. That may be the cause of it getting louder with the windows rolled up? I'm not real sure on that one. I've never heard of that before so I'm just throwing out suggestions.

Overall, great work!!! And you have me considering Raptor Liner for my next box now haha.

1. Yes, they are very close. Maaay be .1 or .2 cubes off. but very close to 2 cubes total after port and sub displacement.

2. Ports are tuned to 32hz roughtly. Ports do look small but followed best practices. internal then are 2" wide by 4" long by 8.5" deep.

I asked the same question on s10forum about it being louder with the windows down. a few guys responded the same way saying yes, they have the same effect.

@BMX. Yes, I only used 3 bottles.

I actually got fairly decent covereage with 1 bottle doing 1 1/2 of the boxes. 2 did a nice job, but we missed some slight spots. the 3 bottle covered spots we slightly missed and then I used it to even out the texture. I shot at 70psi, and I really loved how the texture came out. Sorta like the stuff they use on ProBoxes but much much nicer.

Amp is a simple 1000Watt RF amp. I think its a little under powered for this setup, but that's what the owner had. I'm sure he'll upgrade in the future.

@Snow, thanks. It actually wasn't that bad. I scuffed up the mdf with 80 grit paper, then did some 2k high build primer, blocked it down, sealed it, based it and then cleared it. I'll be 100% honest. There are some mistakes in it, but it hasn't been cut and buffed yet. Some mistakes you just will not see with it installed into the truck. I'm hoping he doesn't have any issues with it in the future.. cracking or pealing.

Honestly, this site has helped quite a bit with this build.. Lot of great information here in these threads. I only recently started painting this past summer so I'm a noob in that department.. but I've been building small to medium sized boxes over the years.
