littleitaly1990
how big would a tline for an 18 be? A vitrolic, megalomaniacal sadistic psychopath.
kandiman71874
FREAKIN HUGE in the conventional state of a t-line where the line maintains the same size the entire length you would be looking at an enclosure that the port is 225 sq inches and i used 30 hz as a tuning frequency (since you didnt disclose a prefrence) which comes up to 113" long measuring down the center of the port. if this was a straight line picture a rectangle thats 14.71 cu ft internal volume. aznboi3644
Ahh...yes but a straight line is not needed...I'd rather go for a tapered line with a little stuffing.
jhmeg2
So in order to use this as a push pull, cone to cone, there has to be a sealed enclosure for one of the drivers? Is'nt this considered a bandpass design? I was just going to build a 1/4 wave T-line, and slap another driver on cone to cone for the reason that he has 2 8 ohm drivers, run them parallel at 4 ohms and hope that would work. They are some OLD Rockfords 1815 15" single 8 ohm. ////Alpine, Eclipse, Load Boss, Pheonix Gold, MB Quart,Digital Desings, Memphis, Stinger, Periphial, MTX, Visualogic
Forevrbumpn
Yes that is a bandpass design, I honestly haven't done a traditional tline iso design, I guess I would be to scared the cones would be to "floppy" I mean in a standard tline, the cone can get floppy enough with one... I guess it can be done, maybe subsonic boost would be helpful in that situation- I just never did it, unless it was bandpass Let me wake up, and I will think about it more I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. aznboi3644
A t-line guru over on the12volt built an iso loaded tapered stuffed t-line for two TC-1000's. Isoloading them increases the linearity and lowers distortion IIRC.
qu1cks1lver56
GOD i want a t-line so bad. that push-pull one looks badass. i just dont think i have the room needed to build a t-line for my 2 10's. also dont have the money to buy the required mdf, screws, carpet, glue, etc. First Gen Xterra: Always changing DNX 690HD RF 360.3RF T3002RF T4004RF T10001bdSilver Flute 6.5"s Tang Band 1" TweetersSundown X18 in 7cubes net tuned to 32hz Trust me .25 Blows your Load. Forevrbumpn
Ive noticed ISO in the bandpass for of t-lines just sound incredible, there is a steeper slope on the high pass, but the low end stays really strong at and just below tunning, a very recommended box design I just cant say anything for the NON bandpass version, thats all I have a ritual called "terminator".
