fx4trucker Posted February 16, 2014 Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 I ordered myself a new sub ,. the RE audio XXX 15 . so now im going to build a new box for it .. its a wedge style box with a square port . its gong to be just over 5 cuft after displacements the only thing im wondering is how should I tune it ? low like 32-33hz or high like 37-38hz ? some more info on the set up 1 woofer .. its dual 2ohm . will be running off of Memphis mojo 2500 watt amp. wired to 1ohm. . I have an on/off switch for the amp so it wont be on all the time. im going for SQL box measurements d1-22" d2-16" w-30" h-20" using 3/4" mdf wood. front will be 2 baffles 1.5"s thick alpine head unit (freebee 2009 model)2 sets of eclpise 5.25 comp. speakers. 1. set is in the a-pilors 1. memphis mojo 2500 watt amp 1. rockford fosgate t2 15" dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohm . seeing 600 watts 1. realm audio 600 watt 4ch Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lifted_silverado Posted February 16, 2014 Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 Tune low. The xxx is a low end sq monster. I wouldnt put one in a bix tuned over 30hz. I have one myself but its in a huge sealed enclosure to keep a flat response, ran on an AQ2200. Sounds amazing Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year.
