addh95
starting to tear apart my car. yeah we once had a penny war in my car. i think i found a total of about $2 there lol drilled the new hole to run the wire and we also put a grommet in there. taking apart gloveboxes is just a huge pain! finally got the wire ran to the back! just ran it across to the far side and to the batt. connected up to the fuse holder. we ran out of grommets so we had to improvise with some hose and zip ties lol (this is temporary!) also found this nasty thing didnt want to drive and buy a new one so i just cleaned it out! see good as almost new. i had a pile up dust and crap when i was done! boom! all done there it looks so great with that custom heat shrink! so sexy! getting it in and crushed down was another little challenge but nothing we couldnt handle! ill post another video soon! ill also try to update more often for you guys! ChrispyShimp
Bring me those Peanut Butters we'll smoke them! Don't worry we'll get a video of a 250 RMS 12" on my Demon series 6k. I know it's not really 6k, but it's plenty for these little buggers. I'm thinking White Clouds Decaf Slowed (26hz) will do the trick, no? Should be fun, who thinks the surround and spiders will give before voice coil burns? BTW, your so lucky to have a GF that will helps a bass-head get more bass, hang on to her, she's a keeper! And it's not finished yet, there are still three more wires to crimp and bolt down. I'm a little concerned about the negative terminal on the battery, it looks like a last ditch short circuit safety cutoff from the looks of it, does anyone know? Third pic from the bottom in the post above, I think a 2/0 ground might bypass whatever safety function it might provide, I hope it's not cereal (lolz) I understand that some manufacturers don't have all the electrical system using the frame as the negative(imports mostly, I think), I'm certain this is tied to that in some way, could some one possibly know and educate us if this will be a problem? We plan to add a 2,400 watt amp to the system, so if this is some critical safety device, please let us know. Knowledge is the greatest tool in any garage. ChrispyShimp
Anybody notice the multi meter on the hood there? It actually got knocked off the windshield during testing, that was hilarious! And it's definitely louder than me on the 40-50hz notes by a long shot, and the SA-12s aren't really broken in yet either. Just keep the volume below 40 and play it how you want, it should be fine, and it will play lower as the subs break in, and let me know when you're ready to swap boxes! ChrispyShimp
Is that 2/0 wire on 1/0 lugs?? Just curious cause I might do the same if so lol. No sir I think technically the lugs are 4/0 if you go by the true AWG size so these say 2/0 but it's quite over-sized I think. Anyway the SHCA wire and the SHCA lugs match up pretty well, I pounded a socket set that flared out some of the lug so it was easier to fit all the strands in there and then used my machinist vice to crimp the fugk outta them. ChrispyShimp
Ah ok cause in your pics it must've been a typo lol cause it said 1/0 lugs so I was like wat lol. Keep the pics coming. Yeah I told him about that guess he hasn't fixed it but no biggy. Not sure what he plans on next as far as the build but I'm asking him to consider either deadening or electrical, either one. He already broke his radar mount, that was hilarious! This car is nuts at 47hz almost painful, and a lot of fun to work on too. I want to have a contest sometime, I know I could never match him at 47 hz but I can push the lows. I'd love to get a few people's reactions on video when his windshield starts jigglin.
