IG Hydrographics Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 alright so crossfire reccomend .65 cubes tuned @38 htz with 8square inch of port 19 inches long...... built box exactly to that spec, ( did a 2x4x19 port) output of enclosure is very weak and tons of port noise, winisd show the port match at .14 which is bad , but roger at crossfire said thats what crossfire recommends.......... any better ideas out there or any already played with this sub with a good outcome on the enclosure. box can be up to 30w x 16h x 10d at this time it is 27x8x10 thanks
CleanSierra Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 For a 38 Hz tune, I come up with basically 20" of port. The sub us listed as Xmax being 20MM but right after that it says peak to peak is 20 MM. It's crazy that it's going to be a 1000 W sub with 2.5" coil. I seriously can't imagine them getting 20MM of Xmax with a tiny little spider pack to accommodate a 2.5" coil. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Joe X Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Xmax is one way, but it looks bad to spec 10mm so 20mm peak to peak looks better. OP you could post a sketch of your box to see what you did.
