Hodges Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 Well he does drive a 18 wheeler though, but still.. thats crazy. Everything is delivered by trucks. Truckers have to raise there price to deliver goods. Manufactures have to raise there price to pay the truckers. And we as the buying public have to pay for rising gas prices at alot more places then just the pump. Every time we go to the store we will be spending more for all the products we buy just because of frikin OIL! Is there any end in site to these rising oil prices? I live off of disability, Gas goes up, all products go up because of it, and my disability check stays the same..I cant afford to survive anymore.. At least I live in a country that has provisions for its citizens when they become disabled though...so I guess im not supposed to complain.. ohh well..I guess I will have to drop my hobby..

I mean we will eventually HAVE TO face the fact that oil won't be here forever & that would motivate research to find alternatives faster. bassboombottom Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Most of my dads check goes RIGHT to fuel (hes an owner operator) and aint that some monkeymeat BULLSHIT my dads Kenworth has a hole in the radiator, and other problems now.. if he continues to drive it, it will get out of time, the pistons will smack the valves and his engine will explode. And the estimate on gettin it fixed? damn near $7000! To rebuild the engine $12,000. A new engine $25000! He only paid 20k for the kenworth. But he put in about half of that i TV, satelite, Internet, Frige microwave, XM radio and all the other creature comforts. enev andiesel powered generator that saves him money and fuel. hes on the road a lot... The Truck had nearly a million miles on it,... fucking a. if its not one thing its ten others.
