I need some help how to wire this amp.

Hello everyone, Let me start off by saying. I am not the most knowledgeable about all this car audio stuff. But I am learning every day. I always wanted to have a little sound system of my own and I bought some parts and have a tiny issue now.

I bought two of these SEX12D4 - http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_27312_RE-Audio-SEX12D4.html

They had good reviews and I heard they are pretty decent, I know they arn't the best. This is my first system and I didn't want to buy crazy stuff because I don't understand it all yet.

Ok and I bought this amp CTX4200.1 - http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_68070_RE-Audio-CTX-4200.1.html

I know this amp isnt the best either but I wanted it to match to subwoofers brand. My plan was to wire both subs to this amp @ 1ohm since this amp shouldn't do 1500rms as some people said I think it's honestly more then enough for me.

I wanted to wire it like this

But now I ran into a problem. I bought the amp, It said it was a mono amp so I thought mono means it would have 1 channel of connectors on the amp. But it has two. See picture below.

It says speaker 1,2. How should I go about wiring this now? Can I use Speaker 1 + - and wire it @ 1ohm. Or do I need to do something else? I really don't want to return it because I don't live in the US and it's alot to ship heavy stuff back there.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me.

doesnt matter if you use just one speaker set or both.

or wire it like this for each sub, one sub on each speaker terminal set.

edit: both options will make the amp see 1 ohm.

It's bridged internally, wire each subs coils in parallel and wire a sub per set of terminals and the amp will see a 1 ohm load.

i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah..

You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people.

Thanks guys you helped alot I wasn't sure about how to go about doing it and rather ask then break it messing around. I just assumed mono means 1 terminal.

I'm going to wire it up like the top one. I am right to say you can't wire it the 'bad way' like I drew?

It should be good running the amp 1500rms(should do less because its overrated) @ 1ohm on two 600rms subs? I heard the subs can take alot more but I'm just doing it for some fun nothing crazy.

Thanks again.

if i am reading the writing on the amp correctly, all of those ways are fine. set your gain correctly and it should be fine.

the four ways you posted work identically fine.

it doesnt matter which + and - you use. doesnt matter if you use one set of +- or both sets of +-.

edit: stop overthinking it. if you think this is difficult, setting gains must be like calculus to you.
