SnowDrifter Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 IMO your strut tower is one of the best places you can ground to. It's where ALL of my grounds go. Front and back. As usual: Sand around the screw. put some vaseline or silicone grease on to ward off corrosion, then you're good to go! ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Troy Mihalcheon Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Wish I knew this before, woulda saved me a lot of hassle and drilling a hole under my car and through the trunk floor... the rear tower is a foot away from my negative terminal too! I got my 14.7v at the back... thanks again, I can tell it is louder and sounds a lot better at high volumes now... just need to smash this sealed box. burn the remains, and build another ported.
