blake1886
So in my car I have a pioneer deh-7700mp and I am thinking about upgrading. I have a pioneer deh-80prs on hand and I think it would be a nice upgrade from my current stereo. would I be able to swap out the stereos using the wiring harness that is already in my car? Would the wiring harness that is already made up for the 7700mp be the same as the 80prs would use? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic... mothra
try it. no single din aftermarket radio should be that hard to pull out in a couple of seconds. if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
blake1886
I just wanted to ask because I have to pull the dash out of two vehicles. A 2004 ford explored, which is pretty easy. But my 2002 Buick lesabre is a little tougher to pull out. Was just wanting to know if I could before having to do it and figure out they aren't compatible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic... Dude2800
My avh-2500bt double din had to go back to pioneer and my buddy had a pioneer single din. The only difference in the wiring harness was the door speaker polarity, which I used the rcas anyway so it was a non issue. Probably won't have a problem. Probably same harness. blake1886
Turns out that the plug used on these two stereos are the same, but mirrored. There are two larger pins (I am assuming they are for the positive and ground) but the plugs have the larger pins on opposite side. Both look almost exactly the same but won't fit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic...
