C_vaughn Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Planned on running these 2 tnt1244's @ 1ohm will they last running this load?, i had someone tell me they wouldn't last long @1ohm but ive seen a few vids on youtube where people are running em at 1ohm?
Noel989 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 What brand is tnt? Don't ever listen to the guy that told you running a sub at 1 ohm won't last Running a sub at certain impedance (ohm) doesn't determine how long it'll last What you need to worry is setting your gains correctly and knowing the limits of your gear Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
timc31610 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 ^^^^ Exactly, the big question is this, is your amp 1 ohm stable? My Build Log 94 Civic http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188644-94-civic-4-door-build-loq-suggestions-wanted-will-be-super-slow-mo/ Faceebook reluctantly
C_vaughn Posted March 6, 2014 Author Report Posted March 6, 2014 Yea they are American Bass tnt 12's, and the amp im running is an audiopipe ap-1500.1d it says 1500 watts at 1ohm but it dosnt say anything about being stable at 1ohm, i know audiopipe isnt to great, i do plan on upgrading soon just came with the 2 subs and box
Guest Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 woofers are 600rms a piece. audiopipe will do about 1100w. 1ohm should be fine. just don't clip the amp by turning the knobs up too high
C_vaughn Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 woofers are 600rms a piece. audiopipe will do about 1100w. 1ohm should be fine. just don't clip the amp by turning the knobs up too high Good looks appreciate it, just wanted to be sure i know audiopipe's got some ratchet power, def. plan on upgrading soon to either a dc 1.2k or the sundown saz1500 for some cleaner power, but i just got a kicker zx650.4 for my interiors depending on how that sounds i might get another kicker amp for the subs
