Jose luis 12 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Currently running a rockford p1000.1bd on a kicker cvx 12. I notice a big drop in voltage when I near full tilt. Pic waiting for my sundown x12 to come in and am concerned about my voltage once I get my new sub. I'm running all stock electricals with 2 gauge wire to the amp and as my ground. Was wondering if doing the big 3 upgrade will help a little till I get a second battery.
tb805 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 Atleast a better battery and big 3 will definitely help

TRON Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 You probably won't notice much of a difference. Doing a big 3 obviously doesn't increase the amount of power your electrical can produce. wccfan12 Posted March 13, 2014 Report Posted March 13, 2014 ^^^^^ What he said. I would wait til you can at least get a better under the hood battery like a good XS power or other agm batt. Or if you already have an agm under the hood wait til you can afford the second battery. When I did my big three with stock electrical it seemed like it had no effect on my voltage and my light dimming actually got worse. Once I changed my under the hood stock batt to a dual front batt setup i was golden.
