TaylorFade Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 My advice- and you may not like it- is to go infinite baffle. It is the ultimate space saving alignment AND the bonus is that the theoretical output is the same as sealed except more efficient. They won't take as much power in IB, but they won't need to. Edit: you will also gain a ton of low end extension. Bonus. Don't sleep on IB. It can get rowdy.
Aj11 Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 he can't, he needs the back seat and storage in the trunk jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
TaylorFade Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 he can't, he needs the back seat and storage in the trunk What does that have to do with anything? My BMW is infinite baffle and I still have my back seat and trunk. Do you think I'm suggesting a wall?
Aj11 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 where Would he put the subs? And a ib most of the time you need to seal the trunk. maybe I'm just thinking about the huge 4 15s ib set ups. never seen the smaller ones in person just searched them, i see what your saying. I've only seen the several 15s and 18s with subs firing into the cabin and trunk being the box. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
01 S-10 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 he could do that but he would have to drop a sub. our run 3 tens. a ported box for 3 12s should be at leaslt 6ft. (at least) but the money you get for selling a sub will cover the cost of the box. How do you figure that he needs at least 6 cu. ft., You can easily put a 12 in less than 2 cubes each TDH FTW !!!
01 S-10 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 Personally I would look into doing a 4th order and port it through the ski hole, even if it means only doing 2 subs instead of 3 TDH FTW !!!
Aj11 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 you can yes, but why? imo if your gonna do less then 2 cubic feet ported go with tens. i wouldn't put a 12 in less then 2.5net but that's me. small box =small sound jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 id love to hear why giving a sub the most air space you can Is bad, I'm not saying give a 12 5cubic feet. so your saying instead of my subs having 2.5 they would be louder, deeper with a smaller box? oh please do tell? and you said they do fine in 1.5 net right? so now lets add oh idk .3 .5 for the port hmm so 1.5 x3 = 4.5 now lets add 1cube for enough port for 3 12s that's 5.5 gross... wow .5 off from what i Said.. but ya know that's bad advice! shame on me! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
01 S-10 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 You were acting like every 12 out there should be in no less than 2.5 cubes or else you'll have "small sound" as you put it. That couldn't be more wrong, do you realize how many subs are optimized for smaller boxes? Also if you read my post again I suggested going from 3 subs down to 2 if need be TDH FTW !!!
