Echo
I just finished my new install, and I'm now running into voltage issues so I decided it would probably be best to upgrade the Big 3. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 and I'm confused when it comes to what to do with the stock wire coming off of the alternator to the battery, does it need to be left on or does it get taken off and wire tied? I'm also unsure if you're supposed to place a fuse between the alt and the battery when you run your new wire? Any help is appreciated, thanks. Agreene
it doesn't matter if you leave it on or off, most people leave it on. and same with the fuse it doesn't matter, however it is highly recommended you do, remember you fuse for the wire, so 250/300 for CCA and 350 for OFC wiring
JEFFYBOI
I left mine on, it wont hurt anything. Just more conductor to help transfer the current. hdorre
Don't touch factory wiring. In some cases, you may need that exact circuit to even start the car. Just leave it..
