Joe X Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 If you took the whole width and not only the 24"W looks like you could, in cars space is more valuable than efficiency, since the subs are in a near free air environment they will likely not take full rated without reaching mechanical limits.
Aj11 Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 I'm curious to as why you.only want to put the box right behind the driver seat? just to save room? if you did 14x24x14 you Would have a lil over 2cubes to work with. that's more then.enough for 2 8s. but If you used the entire back of your truck your options sky rocket! you could T-line or even do a forth order. with th 4th you could put the subs in the box paint it with bedliner and use it as a shelf when needed. if it was my truck I'd go fourth. 2cubes sealed 2 cubes vented around 37hz have the port on the driver side. just my 2cents jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11 Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 i see, but you Can put tools on top of a box. you could make it a shelf if you wanted to. I'm not saying I'm just saying. i always try to plan ahead instead of settling now and building later. the box could be shorter and thinner it would just be longer. I'm not pressuring you into doing it. I'm just letting you know a forth can have the subs completely enclosed in the box. so your tools and all that won't hurt them or get in the way. and your passenger would have just as much room as you. think of the box like a shelf instead of just a box. you could even build side rails,.or even a top you Can latch Down. I've seen some crazy stuff made out of boxes. my boy with his s10 built cup holders in his box with a Lil cubby as a make shift glove compartment jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11 Posted March 22, 2014 Report Posted March 22, 2014 i get what your saying. i just always go big or go home. you'll never be happy with this hobby! every time you'll go bigger. that's the sad truth jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
lgnmgr Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 I messed around with torres and this is what i have. Any thoughts or recommendations on changes i should make? or does this look appropriate? for the 2 sa 8s
jarrius Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 I could be wrong but 40 in long port in a 23 in wide box= no good to me If you went 11in to the back wall of the box and turned there then you have to go another 29 in and you only have 21 to use. Unless you add another bend in the port. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
