Jacob Strahan Posted March 21, 2014 Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 so, i'm ordering a hdc4 18" through SSA today. it'll be ran off of a hifonics brutus 2500.1d until i can upgrade electrical and buy a new amp. i know the FS is 40 hz. i'm not a fan of high tuning, so i was thinking 6 cubes at about 35 hz. what do y'all think? vehicle: 1998 2door tahoe HU: kenwood single din subs: DC level 4 18" amp: hifonics 2500.1D and 1200.4 door speakers: 2 PWX 8"s and 2 random 6.5"s Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm sure others will have different opinions. just to clarify your saying 6cubes net right? id tune that monster to at least 30hz. with the big box you'll have a low roll off. but if it was me, (just a mo) I'd do 6.5net and tune it to 24hz like i said that's what i would do. but I'm sure a higher tune would produce higher dbs jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

zydrix Posted March 21, 2014 Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 With that power id get the hdc3 18" copper coils an put it in a 6.5-6.75 net box an tune it to about 34hz. I'd do the same box for the hdc4 also. My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts. (on there way here) atomic at-3000.1 (soon) 146.2 outlaw @39hz., bad alt an bad batt when termed (old 2 12" build) alpine 6.5s in doors infinty 4x6s in dash. clarion cz201 HU. mechman 240a H/O alt stuff i still need. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts.
