CHEVY DIY
Jordan, cool to have a member from Jordan How are you planning to restore the car? Like as it came from the factory? Or kind of custom with your own touches, fixing and improving things along the way? The turn signal is on a relay, it's probably defective. Find it and replace it, problem solved. Temp gauge can be replaced with an aftermarket fairly easily. I guess since you are on an audio forum, you plan to upgrade the stereo system in the car too. So the v-belt setup will have to be replaced in favor of a serpentine belt setup. Well, not necessarily HAVE to be replaced, but it opens up options on a charging system more than with a v-belt. thats kind from you, Im planning to get it back as it was when we first bought it, I mean It runs smoothly and its clean from the out/in side.I will see if the relay is down but I will check the previous guy method first. Yea I will look for v.belt in futrue. JEFFYBOI
I discovered some problems In the car and I would like to get some help: The left turn signal on the dash board is stuck (green arrow) and not blinking but when I turn it on It goes normally on the dash, another thing thats the temperature gauge is stuck at 100 as you can see in the pictures, and the windshield wipers keep going on and I cant stop them. thats all for now , Also I had a trouble with removing the back seat (back) theres a screw down there but when I try to take it off it keeps spinning ... so I couldnt remove it. umm about the front seats, I couldnt remove the driver seat because I couldnt see the screws at the back I did the front 2. The temperature gauge stuck at 100, if it was me I would change the thermostat and flush out the coolant system and see if that solves the issue. I am not a certified mechanic but I have been working on my own cars for along time. The front driver seat try moving the seat all the way forward and look for 2 bolts on the back like you found the 2 on the front, there should be 4 bolts holding the seat down. The bolt on the back seat, if it keeps spinning there is obviously something on the other side of the bolt preventing it from coming out, a nut a washer a clip or something. Can you access the other side of the bolt on the backseat? Worse case scenario I would get a dremel and but the bolt and just put a new one on. CHEVY DIY
In this video this guy is showing that theres a wire thats goes under the engine, its for the gauge I flushed the coolant just before I start the car about a week ago. I will look for that wire tomorrow, and about the back seat I will get a good light to look down there, yea I think theres a washer behind this bolt I can hear it hitting the chassi but as you said its not bolted to the trunk, its under the car, under the exhaust under every thing.... I will drill the bolt out if I had to. thanks.
