rockFord_Expedition Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 x2 on not using a terminal cup. 2 ways to do it that are better than terminal cups..... 1 way, which I have done but it isn't my favorite, is to drill 2 holes, just big enough to run your wire through. 1 hole for positive, 1 for negative. Be sure to tie knots in the wire inside the box so if the wire gets pulled on accident it doesn't yank on the sub. Seal the holes on the inside of the box. The other way, which is what I would recommend would be similar (minus electrical tape) to the example in the picture in post #72. Drill 2 holes, put a bolt through each one with the head of the bolt on the inside of the box with a washer. Put the ring terminal that you soldered or crimped onto your speaker wire between the bolt head and washer. On the outside of the box, same thing, washer; ring terminal; nut.
