hello everyone, just purchased a new vehicle and am looking to build a new box for the trunk.

im going to be running 2 12" dc level 4's powered by an audio que 2200d

id prefer a lower tune around 35hz.

preferable measurements would be 14" high 40" wide and 25" from front to back

all help greatly appreciated and if anyone could point me in the direction of any other genesis builds thatd be great. thanks again!

It can be done as follows either firing forwards or backwards, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28 Hz, build a cardboard dummy box to test fit before cutting any wood, 45s are 2 1/2" wide except the ones inside the port:

your best bet would be to front fire and seal off the trunk.

But What Do I Know?

Joe x - Thank you sir! greatly appreciated

IM - yea, I def agree that in terms of how much spl I could squeeze out of it thatd be best. but id like to keep it in the trunk, im also not sure id feel comfortable building that in the car at this point

  • honestly, you could top load the subs and fire the port towards the trunk to accommodate for space. there are many different ways to make it happen, just have to play around with box designs. cardboard first for sure
