ModFreak
So about a month ago i started get a set of "Shorts" tattooed but i didnt want the standard machine, so i talked to the owner of the tattoo shop and he had just started doing the traditional Japanese style hand poke tattoos. Here is a quick pic, i will upload more as well as get some videos for you. So far we are 2 sessions in with a lot more to go, I am doing all traditional Japanese style tattoos seeing as how this is where the technique started. We are doing full upper legs, from knees to hips, all around. Enjoy.

ModFreak
Pain level is a bit higher then the standard tattoo machine, because the force of the tattoo needles are strictly by hand and the depth is only controlled by the artist. After about 45 minutes or so the pain seems to completely vanish and you dont seem to feel a thing (could just be completely numb lol). But honestly it is an entirely different experience and i will not turn back or change my mind, well worth the little pain.
