Jacob Strahan Posted April 4, 2014 Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 i recently got a DC level 4 18". i have it powered by a hifonics 2500 watt brutus amp. my voltage drop is ridiculous so i can't crank it up or get the most out of the amp/ sub. all i have done is the big 3 but i'm looking to get a mechman 270 amp alt. just wondering what my battery bank should look like to get the most out of my set up. thanks for any input! vehicle: 1998 2door tahoe HU: kenwood single din subs: DC level 4 18" amp: hifonics 2500.1D and 1200.4 door speakers: 2 PWX 8"s and 2 random 6.5"s Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
alaskanzx5 Posted April 4, 2014 Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 First make sure they offer the alt you want if you haven't. make sure big 3 and all wiring is 0gauge for power and ground ofc being the better wire. after that just a single upgraded front battery of decent size should be good. That amp pulls around 150-175amp on music most likely. Do t need a huge bank just the alt and o e good batt. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
