Guest Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 amp requires 4 gauge. anything smaller and you're straining the hell out of it, in which overheating is one of the symptoms. edit: also, what did you use to crimp the lugs? edit 2: kind of surprised you haven't smoked the amp yet at 2 ohms bridged. do what snowdrifter said.

Per the website, bridged should be at 4 ohms. 500 watts RMS x 1 bridged @ 4 ohms But you are running it at 2 ohms bridge. Reason for it getting hot and turning off.
