Wheelz_pitch
Is there any down sides to having a neg run frt to back. I've heard a few different things ie. Not needed waste of money blah blah. I'm a firm believer in over killing electrical so cash on wire isn't a prob. So pretty much is it gonna hurt the system to have a neg run. Edit: there is a batt bank in the rear.

SnowDrifter
I've tested in my car and found this: With quality grounds, a negative run won't give you much benefit. Added a negative run, no notable difference in front-back voltage drop. Clamped the run for power and it was only carrying 12a of load compared to a 280 amp input from the positives. 2 positive runs, 1 negative run Switch the negative run to a positive run, gained .25v under load. Not saying it won't do anything. It carried a measurable amount of power. But run-for-run I think most would benefit from an extra positive run vs. a negative run. Of note: I am grounded to my strut tower in both the front and rear of the car ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Wheelz_pitch
Well that might be worth trying. Swapping the ground to a pos and grounding on the body front and back to see the difference. I'm running 3.5k now looking to bump up to 5-7.5k later on. AMI CUSTOMS
Negative runs not necessary but if I was competing with said vehicle I would do 2 power and 2 ground. Could be the difference between winning and losing. But for just daily driving not needed for your application.
