JakeBoucher Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Have 2 alpine type r 15s, opened my hatch the other day and realized one moves more than the other. Could be two problems im aware of... 1. The sub the moves the most is a couple months older(broken in) and the sub moving less is about 2 weeks old. So could it just not be broken in? 2. the sub that moves more is in the box reccomended by alpine. The sub that moves less is in a crummy prefab.(im getting the correct box for it soon). Im assuming its one of these problems or a little of both. Just looking for some input, curious to what others think may be the problem "Dude the more your sub weighs the more watts it puts out"
CleanSierra Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Two different boxes is the biggest smoking gun. Switch them out and see if it follows the box or the sub. If it isn't that, you are right, it may be that the one sub isn't broken in yet. If you have both of these subs on the same amp, that's bad sir Get both of those subs in the same box ASAP! Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
JakeBoucher Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 Ohh yeah that makes sense. Well Ill pick that other box up this week! "Dude the more your sub weighs the more watts it puts out"
alaskanzx5 Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Different boxes effect speakers differently. if that doesn't fix it like said above disconnect the other sub to let the newer one break in. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
