Krakin
It could very easily be the ground issue with your houses wiring. You might be able to fix it with an isolater. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Stephen13
If the receiver itself is humming it might be a bad power transformer. Does this receiver have a 3 prong power plug? If so and your house is old and not properly grounded that could very well be the problem. Try taking the receiver to a friend's house that is wired to code and see what that does. 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L 4x4 Ext.-cab "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think." Stephen13
Then I'd say it's an issue with the power transformer. 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L 4x4 Ext.-cab "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think."
