My truck with remote start(as many models are) will turn off if the key is out of the ignition and you go to press the brake. Is yours hooked up with remote start? The only downside is, when the bass drops(which I was barely loud enough I'm sure), it's enough to wiggle the brake and shut the truck off LOL!! No, mine doesnt have a remote start. Nobody around here would install one on a manual What are you worried about? Someone taking off in it? Or someone Hitting it into gear or something like that? The former I guess.. My buddy had a remote start with neutral safety switch on his 5 speed S-10 and it worked beautifully. It wouldn't allow the truck to be remote started if it were in gear. Quick disconnect on steering wheel? Because....race car? Might be a fun project for later if you don't have time before the show coming up. Im not the one you want to try to troll.
