SlamminBeats Posted May 8, 2014 Author Report Posted May 8, 2014 ill fix the connections in the back. trust me lol well seems like the SQ HDS3 is a 3 in coil and cheaper than the DD25. and the 25s are 2.5 coil hmmmmm what should i do
Nick580 Posted May 8, 2014 Report Posted May 8, 2014 Ive had one of the people at DD tell me that their preferred line of driver was in fact the 2500 12". Even with a 2.5" coil I still feel like its a lot more balanced than the HDS3. But I have never personally had either so what do I know. It would be cool to stick with the DD theme. Oh and sweet build so far by the way. Im liking the saab!

PolishThunder Posted May 9, 2014 Report Posted May 9, 2014 DD and Soundqubed are actually the same company and use the same or very similar parts the only other difference is that that Soundqubed is made overseas and DD is made in the us which does have an effect on quality. So with DD your gonna get better built versions of Soundqubed with some better components but you have to decide if the trade off in price is better for more power but less quality. Either way i think you will be happy Soundqubed is amazing and so is dd it just matters whether price or quality is your preference! Keep up the good work! Heres info about the two companies on the DD website (I know its ddaudio.com now but this is from their old site that now redirects to the .com site) http://server.ddaudio.net/~ddaudio/server/index.php

SlamminBeats Posted May 9, 2014 Author Report Posted May 9, 2014 Having real iussues finding subs i want. I wish my face could fit 6 12s but i just cant. I can fit 5 in a staggered setup left to right. I can fit 8 10s but im not trying to spend an arm and a leg to get them.
SlamminBeats Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 Fitting in the port. Least favorite part of a build but i will say i got alot more skilled with it and its turning out great. going to sand it alot more this time around. Thats all i have for tonight. I will add internal bracing and glass everywhere on Sunday. Lets also hope i get my face created then too. I still however do not have subs picked out which sucks. I really need to order them ASAP. I want to do 8 10s because it really maximizes my face and gets me alot of coil area. It just seems to be the optimal set up. My other choices for my baffle size are 5 12s, 3 15s or 2 18s.
