1st gen acura tl

so im fairly new to the sound system game but have always had an ear for good quaitly sound

this is my pos acura tl i got it from my mom for super cheap

so far i have a basic set up

Optima Yellow top

Big 3

2guage wire from bat to cap then from cap to distribution block

4guage after that for amps and grounds

Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X995

Kenwood eXcelon KAC X-40 (400 watts)

DEI Viper monoblock (1200 watts) (yea right hahah)

Boss audio Cap20

Polk audio db651 (front doors)

Polk audio db691 (rear deck)

JL W7ae 10 inch AE-3 (two of them) in a sealed box not sure of measurements as i just got them second hand

i curretnly am running my friends kicker comp vrs 2 12inch ones due to my jl woofers needing a recone

i need to uploads pics to my comp but thats what i have and i am super happy with the sound quailty. i know i can do better on the sub amps and better cap. i ordered a rockford cap but was shipped this by mistake. im actually quiet impressed with it so far so other than it being the least quatily part of my system it does pretty well.

this was all done on a tight budget and on very limited amount of time

please be nice but i very much would like to know what you think of it

okay so here are some pics of my set up this is my head unit sorry the pic is dark but i made a new wooden face plate so it would sit in there where i wanted also mounting it was horrible and it sits nice but i need a cleaner look

this is how my crappy boss audio cap is set up in the trunk i have i there only so i can see the voltage im hitting plus it makes it all blue haha

here is how i set up the amps i used the spare tire well in the back to hide them and give me enough room in the back for a bigger sub box there both kinda crappy amps but youd be surpised how well it sounds the wires need to be tucked a bit better and also all the same type haha

this is my battery set up yellow top and a shit ton of wires all mixed and matched haha i was on a super tight budget i drop from 14.9 14.8ish volts to around 13.7 on full volume on a stock alt (100 amps) with 1600 watts

so thats my crapy tl set up any help or suggestions is greatly apricated im just getting into systems so this is all kinda new to me im currentyl starting to cut more space into the rear deck to fit 2 more 6x9s im also doing the same to the rear door cards as well for 2 more 6x9s for a total of six 6x9s and 2 6.5s and that should hold me over for a while for the highs ill take some pics later this week and post thoose as well.

Well since you ask for suggestions.

1. Boss cap is a glorified volt meter and you actually want more along the lines of 100 farads per 1000 watts.

2. Don't cut stuff up to fit more speakers in the back. It pulls your soundstage behind you. You want a good soundstage upfront for way better sq.

3. Considering that at least your sub amp is over rated voltage could be better. Make sure to be using ofc wiring, cca works but ofc has been proven better

for the big 3 I don't know how you did it but on most cases it is better done like this

alt positive to battery

alt case to frame or battery negative

battery neg to frame

try finding a better ground in the back and be sure to sand and clean any paint or rust off.
