Questions about speakers in dash and wiring to drop ohm load

Keep in mind OP that Rockford always UNDER rates their amp outputs..

my best guess is that your 150 prime is probably capable of doing

somewhere of 80-95/watts/ch at 4ohms currently, and probably 130-150watt/ch @ 2ohms

Yeah, the birth sheet shows 176w RMS. Not sure if that's 2 ohm load or bridged...anyone know how they rate it? The Rockford Fosgate R500X1D Prime I just got today is rated at 625w RMS.

So you don't think that and additional 25w RMS to the front components will make much difference?

You will not notice a major difference. You may notice a little added distortion though ...
Distortion from the additional power or from not adding the power?
droping ohm loads increases the chance of distortion

That could be 625watts Dynamic power/short burst,not really real world.
