This is what I've done so far, the box is a prototype thinking its tuned somewhere around 35-40Hz cost me about $25 for the materials

Subs are paralell to box terminals/paralell to amp at 1ohm with 12ga Sky High Car Audio speaker wire - Good stuff!

1/0 gauge Memphis Audio from Positive and ground from alternator and grounded to

Sealed 80Amp Hour battery in the wooden box under the sub enclosure, 2 runs of Audio Technix True 4 Gauge to 1/4" buss bars

2 runs of 4 gauge grounded to body have not done 1/0 gauge to frame yet

Next project is tweeter pods on the front pillars and speaker pods for the front door panels, center console for an ipad voltmeters/switches

Also thinking about getting another BRX 2400.1 and 2 more of the HDS3 15's

I am running the stock alternator and have a voltmeter to the buss bars next to the amp which have maybe two 1.5-2' runs of of 4 gauge off the battery in the back, only had this hooked up for a couple days now and still trying to adjust the amp. My question is with the truck running and driving so not at idle RPM when the bass hits at about 45 volume on the pioneer HU the voltage drops below 12 at times I checked the alternator which was too hot to touch not sure if this is normal, any feedback appreciated!

from my experience with Hifonics (over 9 amps in various cars)....they are very power hungry. I don't know what your alternator is rated at, but if you have a brx2400d will definitely need to be paired with a high output alternator and possibly a secondary battery. I have a bxi2008d on two hds312's and my voltage doesn't dip too bad. I believe my stock alt is at 160 though and my gains are pretty low. On my next system, which will have the same brands, the alternator will be the first thing I purchase. Big 3 as well.

the mic on the phone sucks but there is no distortion and the gains are not set properly so not pushing it too much, the stock 6x5's are not that bad off deck power ans hpf set to 80hz
