Im wanting to do an interchangeable 8" sonotube port. alaskanzx5 Posted April 30, 2014 Report Share Posted April 30, 2014 Resin the sonotube and paint it for a clean look. I would use a round over bit on the baffle where it attaches and when getting the sonotube look at pipe insulation. Use it to wrap around the outside opening on the port to give it a rounded edge or you can find a way to make a flare for it. Another cheap way is getting a plastic container that's 8" round then heating and forming it into a flare. those are just some ideas I've been thinking about seeing as I'm looking at doing a box with a 10" sonotube I've done some looking around for ideas. can also go to a hvac company and get what's called a bellmouth bet the can be spendy. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Been trying to figure out creative ways to do it and on the cheaper side of things. remember to that the sonotube is fairly flexible before resined.
