cloud77 Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 I just reconed my UFO BTL 12" In the process of giving it some play time I hit it hard for 1 song on the return home. Sub started fluttering so I kinda figured the DC blew off. Glued it back up with goop, lots of weight on it for 24 hours. Put it back into the box today to give it some play time and after about 1 hr it blew off again. Roughed up the bottom of the dc landing and glued it down again. (My cone has lost some paper layering) I am over powering the sub, and I know the box is too big for it at the moment. I thought I could just get some play time out of it before I build this weekend. Could the combo of heat and a larger enclosure be the obvious problem here? 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A
