I assume the passive you are using was designed for all 4 ohm, depending on how you wire the 8" it wont show 4 ohm. That different load will change the xover point in the passive. This is also assuming that the tweeter and the mid are also 4 ohm. The BA passive was designed for the drivers, not sure the passive you picked up will work? Honestly if you are going through the trouble of doing a 3 way in a door, go active it will save you a bunch of headache in the end.
pickup1 Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 Like he said,when you attach a pair of drivers(speakers),to a single terminal of the passive crossover, it changes the frequency. You need to go 3 way active,not passive.But your going to need 6 channels too.Would sound much better.
