cgrez33 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 What's the proper or best/most efficient way to run a 16volt setup. Pro's/cons? I'm asking for informative reasons not cause I plan on doing it anytime soon. Current Build: 1999 Tahoe #ComingSoon Previous Build(s): Crossfire Magnum 5k Pontiac G6 GT
k3n12ock Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 16v alternator, 16v batteries would be a start. 05 xB - (2) EVIL 18s - (2) BC3500s - NO WALL Channel 1: http://www.youtube.com/k3n12ock Channel 2: http://www.youtube.com/MrK3n12ock2
Rmichael91 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Most still run a 12v system to run the vehicle along with mids and highs/accessories. At the same time they run a separate 16v system (dedicated alternator and batteries). You can do a 16v setup with voltage step down modules.
