Not a bash, but that is bad advice. Isolaters are hard on batts and terrilble on alts. Not to mention the voltage drop.

It will let one or bank of batts discharge, what ever the case is, that's hard on batts. Now the alt... Alts are made to

maintain a charge on batts.... Not charge them when they are low or discharged. By charging discharged batts with your alt, your

making the alt work overtime. Greatly shorten it's lifespan, and Hi-Output alts cost a pretty penny.

So save some bucks don't get one, and gain .3 or so of voltage.
