JEFFYBOI
So i currently have a Duralast under the hood and a kinetik in the trunk. Im not very knowledgeable on batteries. I know the kinetik is a dry cell and the duralast is a wet cell. How does it effect my batteries having them connected being different types of batteries? Is there a advantage to doing all agm type batteries? Im thinking of getting a big agm up front and a second smaller one in the trunk. So give me what info you got... poorfish88
The wet batt sits at a lower voltage, so it's always dragging down the AGM batt. Say the wet batt sits at 12.4 and the AGM rests at 12.7 or 12.8. The batt with the lower volts is always dragging down the higher one.

I want to keep them all @ highest voltage obviously. poorfish88
If you want the best buy XS power, they are the top dog IMO. I see you have a Kinetik, what volts does it sit at? If you mix wet and AGM batts for a long time the AGM resting volts will come down. If that's the case sometimes they can be bought back to higher resting volts by discharging them and recharging them. I try to run all the same name, similar volt batts, and age batts. If your Kinetik is good I'd grab anther on. I used to work for a GM accessories part store... Anyways they had batt trucks that went around to shops and sold batts and they'd bring back all the shit batts. Test em and refurb them. But the Yellow tops couldn't be sent to the recyle plant for some reason so we'd get good yellow tops for super cheap. Almost every yellow top they brought back just needed a charger that could sense lower voltage. I stll have a yellow top form there, it was made in 04, I used it from 07 to 13 and it's still ok. It rests at 12.5 not a good resting volt for AGM batt, but hell the batts been though hell.
JEFFYBOI
The kinetik rests about 12.8 i would have to check the duralast. Does discharging the battery effect the life of the battery? poorfish88
The Kinetik is still good just get anther one, Screw the SLA batt. Cycling them can bring them back to higher voltage, if there are resting low. Yours is still fine, I wouldn't do anything to it.
JEFFYBOI
Ok I decided im getting another kinetik hc600 for the trunk so I have 2 and then once I get the money im gonna drop the biggest agm I can fit under the hood and call it good for this year "Toyota Camry rebuild page 21 (link)http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183768-94-crossfire-camry-18s-walled-singer-alt-has-arrived-rebuild-starts-pg-10/page-21 PIONEER DEH-P8400BH 2 CROSSFIRE C5 1700D 2 CROSSFIRE C7 18 HOOD.
