Decent Deadener!

Been looking at fat mat and for the price

i guess you can say you can't go wrong with that

i don't have much rattle coming from my vehicle except

for the bumper, assuming its all coming from the spare donut!! lol

my stock wing flexes, trunk moves a whole lot, but not much noise (rattle)

would also like to gain at least a db or from the deadener, but as usual

as a college student, don't have much to lay $

would appreciate some advice or tips on what i should be doing

I only have experience with dynamat extreme but figured I can give advice.

well placed deadener can go further then co wrong everything when it come to keeping cost down

rubber washer or simply putting stuff between things that rattle up against each other works.

expending foam would add weight to the trunk lid and stiffen up the panels some.

when you do it find one of the biggest rattles place some deadener then test and repeat until a you get most of the major rattles then start on the small rattles.

second skin bstock is fairly cheap and people seem to get great results for it.

yeah, just thought fat mat was fairly cheap, and like i said i don't really get too much rattle, for know only running less than half the power

all trunk, so im assuming once i get everything settled and purchase my amp ill probably be getting more

ill look into second skin, seen some reviews on youtube, so ill see whats good

Look at there bstock options, its the same stuff just doesn't meet there quality standards for them to sell it at the same price.

some of the things on why they sell it for less are, no uniform thickness, gaps/missing spots of foil, and maybe even little things like small wrinkles in the foil or deadener itself. The product is still made from the same materials just under what they set the quality they want in their product.

I used soundqubed's q-mat cheaper and worked great on my trunk. It usto rattle like a bitch. But after deading just my lid I did not gain any db's

yeah, cause even if i don't gain any db, at least i won't get much rattle

all in all, looking for something decent

so not sure if i should get FatMat or Second Skin

I have no experience with it but I have heard that q-mat is really good for the price, only problem is it sells out fast sometimes
