thefourth Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Something to keep in mind several car audio brands aren't what they once were, soundstream being one of them. That is exactly why i am asking questions. much of the knowledge i do have is from many many years ago. Its also why i will look at anything thats suggested. Just attepting to redo things and put something together i will be happy with for many years. I would take skar over anything you posted, and with that sale, your really coming up. Check out other companies on this site, DC sound labs, Sundown Audio, Incriminator Audio, Digital Designs, Ascendant Audio or only a few. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy Skar. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.

Fair enough, I would never buy skar today at retail price. The thing is, he is on a budget, and they have a ridiculous sale right now. So why not take advantage. I just got a new car and because I have more room in this new car, I want to use the full 750watt of my amp instead of the 500 at 2 ohm. Going to buy 2 15's for $120 shipped. Can't go wrong there for a small budget build to hold off until something serious can be put into the works. Go grab one of the VVX 10's for $100 flat shipped. Grab a 700-800 watt amp and call it a day. You will get plenty of bass with that for what your looking. If you think that won't be enough get two IVX 12's and walla On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. BryPfy Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Right now I'm running 2 NVX VCW124 at 1600w in my 2 door GMC, and I am impressed each day by their performance. I have them in slot ported 1.39cubes, inverted and a 49in port length. I would definitely suggest these beasts. Aside from the VCW line being solid, NVX as a company is legit. I had to send back an open box JAD800.4, and with no hassle they sent a brand new one in return. Their customer experience & support is superb, just a heads up.
