dbmonster
ok so i just got my burban, and i knew it was gonna have alot of room (esp. removing the 3rd row seat) but damn! this thing has more room then i have money to fill it with equipment i've got around 20-25 cubic feet to use below the window line, maybe more. so here is my delima, i want to build a slammin ground pounder, thats the main goal, but i also wanna do good in the comp lanes (usaci street beat) i get accomidation pricing (75% off msrp) on kicker so that's what i plan on using, i just don't know what setup would be the loudest for daily and still do good in the lanes, and yes $ will be a big factor, i wanna get the best bang for my buck literaly! i'm debating between: (6) l7 15's on (3) 2500.1's - $2700 (4) l7 15's on (2) 2500.1's - $1800 (6) l5 15's on (3) 1500.1's or 1000.1's - $1900 or $1600 ( cvr 15's on (2) 2500.1's - $1800 (12) cvr 12's on (3) 1500.1s or 1000.1's - $1800 or $1400 what do you guys think, givin the amount of space, ect, would be the loudest? keep in mind i will be tuning the box low, around 30hz or so. dbmonster
i thought of a non-kicker setup that would be in the same price range (4) fi ssd 18's on (2) audioque 2200.1's - $1800 Quote '05 escalade - now for sale '96 civic hatch - 4 Sundown SA-8's on an Aq2200d TL numbers coming soon '00 suburban - 4 AQ sdc2.5 15's on 2 Aq2200d's 153.1db @ 40hz / 150+db on music now retired
01 S 10
just to give you an idea of what your looking at with Kicker, my buddy Brandon from our club has six 15" L7's in a wall powered off 3 zx1500's.... not near the power that they should/can handle or need. But it does pretty well, he can bass race a 52 all day. This is not a burp machine, we have literally played his burban for 30 minutes, hour, more without giving it a break (@ 152db). You could easily run 3 2500's with 6 15" L7's. heres some pics of his 96 burban from a show in Orlando. (clean as fvck btw!) the 3 1500's are behind the mids/highs amps: BUT::: My buddy Allen had an Expedition with a wall of 6 15" CVRs running off ONE kx2500... 154db... hmm Brandon's burban never could keep up with it.. Its )almost) ALL IN THE INSTALL!!! Make sure you can build a dam good box. Tub Asko
would be careful about throwing out confidential kicker accommodation prices, you just might loose the privilege. Quote Facebook Youtube Murdered '07 Silverado
tejcurrent
You've got to ask yourself out of those setups when you look to the bigger ones, are you willing to put the money in alternators/charging as well? A 2nd alternator, MLA module, and a small battery bank could easily set you back 1000-2000 depending on what you went with. Just throwing that out there. If you want to do less batteries/charging system then a more cone area/less power approach would be the best for you. Like already said- spend the time/money on getting your box right!
