gckless Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 The only reason you would want one is if you plan on running your system on battery power a lot. That way if your back bank dies, your front battery is still charged and can start the car. IMO, they are not good for daily systems. Then you drain the back battery, killing it, and putting a strain on the front battery and alt when you reconnect and charge it. No bueno all around. Skip the isolator. Only bump with the car running. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.
