Christopher Talbot
And.. here goes my budget so I will be returning my hifonics amp and buying a much better quality amplifier, I already have the second subwoofer and now I want more.... so I will be getting 2 more obsidian 12 v3's for a total of 4 of them. I already have the big 3 done and I ordered 50 foot of 1/0 guage wire to replace my 4 guage from my battery. I plan on running multiple batteries in the trunk a buddy of mine got a great deal on 6 http://www.atbatt.com/genesis-np38-12b-12v-38ah-sealed-lead-acid-battery-with-nb-terminal.asp of those, I tested them and there all reading 13.60 volts after sitting for a year in his basement hes offering me all 6 for 200 dollars... so I will not miss that deal he got them wholesale and is losing out but hes a great friend of mine and hed rather see them goto use then sit in his basement. I already have a XS POWER D1200 in the front replacing my stock battery. So my question is will http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-2200D_p_31.html amplifier handle my 4 subs accordingly? Krakin
As long as you don't get the final DC resistance below 1-ohm. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Christopher Talbot
My deal with soundqubed is ;The Q1-3500D.1 is one of our most powerful Amplifier with up to 7500 watts @ 1ohm @ 18volts for those guys and ladies who want to push their systems to the limit. You can strap a pair of Q1-3500D.1'S for a woofer busting 15000 watts @ 2ohm. Born in the same place as our popular Q1-1200D and Q1-2200D and built with the very best parts money can buy the Q1-3500D.1 offers the best watt per dollar value in its power range.; If there next step up amp can produce that out of the box with increased voltage I want an amp thats going to draw clean power and soundqubed seems to have there shit together even though that amp isnt the one im looking at it still spells out quality reguardless of which I choose. Krakin
You aren't going to be running more than 14 volts so that rating doesn't matter. Christopher Talbot
You aren't going to be running more than 14 volts so that rating doesn't matter. What does the krakin reccomend? I have been told, read seen my woofers handling 1k watts each or more even though there rated at 600.. The amp I choose needs to be very efficient, no more dirty power drawing low grade amplifiers. FocusOn20s
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soundstream-RUB1-2500D-Soundstream-Monoblock-2500-Watt-RMS-Rubicon-Series-Subw-/370957451948?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item565ec982acSoundstream Rubicon 2500Hella efficient. And will push those Obsidians nicely. I did a little swap from my CT Sounds 1400.1 with a Rubicon 1600 with a friend of mines, and voltage went down .1-.2 of a volt while it seemed like the Rubicon pushed my XFL a tad bit harderIf you want to spend the money on the SQ, that's a fine choice. I posted my recommendation
