pioneerforlife Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Thanks, it's truck bed liner actually. Wrapping would be a long tedious job on this. But if your going to wrap door panels or something with curves then having a heat gun handy helps a lot, also apply glue and allow it to tack up real well before you start to pull fabric. And then just work it. If you have an upholstery tool it helps get it tight. Ok thanks. that bed liner actually turned out really well. lancelot0069 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Report Posted June 27, 2014 As far as matching sides, no I don't think it will be that complicated, I did all the hard work figuring out how it should be on the first one. Posting pictures now of the start of that. I couldn't figure out how to do it last night from my tablet. Just doin' my thing in the car audio. Still working on getting build forums up. lancelot0069 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Report Posted June 27, 2014 Pictures aren't the greatest since it was dark out and the lighting in the garage is terrible. lancelot0069 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Report Posted June 27, 2014 I know my garage seems messy, but that's because I'm working on 3 projects at a time. My 1982 Dodge Ram B250 van that I've posted up before but seems to disappeared, and a buddy of mine, his 2003 BMW 325ci. I'll start a build log of that soon, his parts just started coming in. He's in Qatar and I should have it done before he gets back in 4 months. Just doin' my thing in the car audio. Still working on getting build forums up. lancelot0069 Posted June 30, 2014 Author Report Posted June 30, 2014 Updates!!!! Box #1 complete. Vid of it playing, although it's not perfect. Didn't want to turn it up too loud cause neighbors were out, but I'll get a better one soon. Bunch of other pics too of new equipment that came in... lancelot0069 Posted June 30, 2014 Author Report Posted June 30, 2014 After box #2 is completed, I will start the amp rack. As you can see in the pictures I have started my Nexus 7 install as well. So, more pics and vids to come. And although I had more pictures, my phone didn't seem to think they were savable. I used the SMD DD-1 and CC-1 to calibrate the amplifier. The DC Audio sub sounds spectacular I must say. The quality is really great, and so far with the tuning I won't even need the bass knob til I add the other subwoofer. lancelot0069 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 Well got a little work done yesterday, but the clouds were keeping me from doing what I wanted. No glassing today :-( hopefully today will bode better. Just doin' my thing in the car audio. Still working on getting build forums up. lancelot0069 Posted July 3, 2014 Author Report Posted July 3, 2014 I got a little work done yesterday, but not as much as I needed too. School work is slowing me down trying to write a 15 page research paper. But I molded the Nexus 7 and trying to get my final idea on how to mount it, it's tough in the space I have to work with and being able to make it removable the way I want. I could just do a simple drop in, but then it would charge for long distances, so trying to do the side slider is the best option, but space is limited and I'm not removing the factory radio because lets face it, Hyundai made a bad ass Navi/Infinity system. I can't complain, it functions well and it integrates great with my bluetooth devices. Now, any help from the forum would be nice. I'm trying to get some ideas on an amp rack. Something simple and fiberglassed to match the speaker boxes, but easily removable for my track days. I will be stacking them. They are the same width and the 5 channel is slightly longer than the T1400.1D. Both Skar. Just doin' my thing in the car audio. Still working on getting build forums up.
