Moving my system from a hatchback to a truck. How much different will it sound

a friend of mine had 2 alpine type rs on 1200 watts in the trunk of an old ford contour, then he moved it into the back of his ford explorer and it sounded better. So really the only way you'll find out is by doing it.

"If" you had spent a lot of time getting the system sounding the way you like it in that GTi, I can assure you you'll need to spend much time doing the same with the truck.

No idea how the orientation of the subs were in the car or how you would plan to place them in the truck, but I day that the system's output is not likely to be as desirable as it were in the car without changing anything. With a sealed enclosure that was designed to fit better in the car than a truck, you're pretty much forced to have the subs firing upwards or forwards. "I" would believe upwards would get a little more output, as the roof should/could provide a more suitable surface for the subs to load off then the rear of the front seats.

Still, it's going to be trial and error, but I have faith that you'll find a way to get the system to perform to your liking. May end up needing to change out the enclosure design for optimum performance with the truck though.
