anelson2390 Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 Build log for my truck that I have been building and rebuilding for forever. A little bit about the vehicle, its a 2000 Suburban, has 266,000 miles on it, I have had it for years and years now. It is fully loaded minus the z71 package. I have gone with a semi blacked out theme on the truck blacking everything except for the factor pewter (silver) paint. Currently Im riding stocks that have been dipped, with commercial LT's on the rear, I have a set of 26'' Helo HE866's that about to get put on this coming weekend when I get the time to mount them. I have blacked out headlights, and smoked fogs, with HID low beams only, I plan to eventually convert everything to LED's. On to the fun part, the audio! My truck has gone through many phases as far as my sub stage, My first major system was 4 Sundown SA15's on 2 dc3.5k's. It was great and slammed but about a year ago I decided to man up and Wall the damn thing. The first wall build was 4 Sundown x-18's on two SKAR audio 4500.1's. Made a slide in shell for the truck that came out around 40 cubes, and made a 4th order running around 10 sealed and 30 ported. This build was awesome straight loved it, metered a 151.7 at the c pillar, but every person who sat in it said it was like a 54-55 all day. Im Currently rebuilding to a 12 12 6th order, and entertaining the idea of a sliding wall. Basically what Im wanting to do is be able to pull my buddies to shows with me with the wall at the c pillar, and when I get to the show, be able to swap trim panels, and slide the wall forward into a b pillar. The only issue Im having with this is trying to figure out the best way to slide the heavy ass shell....I took the truck to SBN but unfortunately a late arrival forced me to have to park out of the way as space was extremely limited, while there I was really inspired to do a big Mids and Highs build. Im currently glassing my doors to hold a 15, 10, 6.5, and ST200 Headunit - Alpine 153BT Amps - 2 SKAR 4500.1's (eventually going to upgrade to 4 total) - 2 SKAR lp80.4's - 1 SKAR lp750.1 Mids and Highs- 8 GRS 10's - 8 GRS 6.5's - 2 GRS 15's - 6 Selenium ST200 Supertweets Power - 1 XS power d3100 (under the hood) - 3 XS power xp3000's (rear battery bank) - 1 Mechman 340A H/O alt externally regulated (soon to be internal) - 1 stock alt - 1 dual alt bracket Subs 12 sundown SA 12's
