Raptorman
That's HELLA port for E series and even a bit big for SA's. I did pretty much that exact design for someone using four Tantric SHD's. They had that much port. Haha.It looks awesome but would bring port area down a good bit. down to like 140-160. Everything else looks perfect.A 12.5 x 12.5 port would be perfect. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. Raptorman
I have angle iron in everything corner of my wall. It's awesome stuff. I'd love to come swing by and help some time. Just hit me up. Here's my angle iron in my current wall. And then threaded rod in my last wall. It worked awesome. nice man, is there any benifit of using plywood over mdf besides weight? Yeah, the edges don't split like MDF does. The dust isn't nearly as annoying. And it's stronger. I have the 13 ply Birch from Lowes. Was $55 a sheet. So I'm gonna be using Mdf. Ill size down the port and post the design back up. I'm gonna build the box outside the truck and slide it it. Gonna have to use the forklift hahah. 4bannger
Nah you'll be good, just a few buddies will be fine! Shouldn't weigh more than 3-400. haha. cool ill get it all cut at work and bring it to my place to put together, would you and one of your buddies be down to help build it and put it in with me and my friend. heres the revision. the short port length kinda of worries me but tell me what you think. I wanna have the box be as loud and as music as possible. wanna get as much as i can out of the e series. I get free wood at work, mostly mdf. will 1 1/2" walls be thick enough. I dont wanna have any flex in the walls. would window bracing be a good idea. Ive heard some poeple swear by it to work great but others claim they add noise. Raptorman
1-1/2" walls will be just fine. I personally wouldn't waste the time on window bracing. Just my opinion. I don't like them too much. Completely up to you.Yeah I can come work on it with you. I'll bring most of my tools in case there's something I have that could come in handy that you don't have.Don't worry about the short port length. It looks good. Build the sucker! I figured ill need like 7-8 sheets. what thickness should i make the wall panels? i was thinking atleast 3/4". im worried if i go too thin it will have flex and cause noise. i planned on doing a wall in the from and in the back if the wall. what are your thoughts on sealing it. Raptorman
The flex won't cause noise. It will simply just flex and result in a loss in pressure/loudness.1-1/2" thick walls are good. Will probably only need like 6 sheets max.Seal it off with 3/4" trim panels. Look at how I did mine on facebook or in my build log on here. Aj11
I'm sure you have no interest in doing this... but... personally i would love to do almost the exact same thing. 4 entry level subs all subs just getting a Lil less then rated but in a infinite baffle! i think that would be so musical and nice sounding. yea I'm sure a box would be louder but ibs are so musical. maybe one day I'll build one. but been reading threw looks great man! can't wait to see this thing in action! confident that you will be in the 145/150db mark. 150s on music might be possible. hell i know a kid with a 18 z4 with.nightshade soft parts on a clamped 3,600w doing 150s on music. so 4 15s on 3,000 watts should.get the job done jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

I'm more for getting loud haha. Hoping I can do something decent on the Meter with this build. Did a 142 on music with my type r 15s so as long as this is louder which I'm damn sure it Will be ill be happy. I'm gonna have to make a build log when things get started.
