GueroZ28 Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 in February I bought 2 hds212s but couldn't really afford the amp from soundqubed .. so I bought a pioneer 2400watts I was recommended 1ohm stable.. but yesterday the amp went into protect mode.. I thought it was normal since it was about 100degrees outside.. but even now and at night I turn the car on and the amp is still in protect.. I turn the subs off and the amp is cool and it still in protect.. the power and protect light is the same one and is usually blue but now its red and kind of flickers blue from time to time.. is the amp no good anymore? what could be causing it? thanks I know I know, I should have just bought the ads1200.1 but like I said I couldn't really afford it
Bump4life Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 soiunds blown. if it was hot and went into protect some internals could have gone up in smoke we recommend saving your pennies because now you just wasted them. if you save for quality components the first time, this stuff doesnt happen. hopefully you have a warranty through pioneer.
