RF BD4000 questions

Greetings from Singapore. think i'm the only guy from singapore here.. i'm from ROE too.

aniway, gotta question for u.. i'll be gettin my hands on a pair of BD 4000s some time next yr.. got a super good deal from RF...

what i wanna noe is that, i saw on the site that they are strappable.. for some amps, i noe that when u strap them, they are mostly stable at 2ohms (lets not talk abt impedence rise).

how abt the BD4000s? any idea on how they work strapped? I'm be using them to power an Atomic APXX12 (i'm sort of their lone rep down here, trying to promote it).

i've got a small car and i can just fit a box for a 12" and the amps in my trunk.

anyway, while strapped, most amps (including RF) need the imp. doubled.  If 2, 1 ohm stable amps are strapped then you should only show the pair 2 ohms.  They each still see 1 ohm though.

I dont see much of a need for you to strap them if your putting 2 on a dvc sub though.  Just put one on each coil and call it done.  :^

ooo.. really? each amp to one VC? tot its safer to strap the amps together?

cos i tot if u power each coil individually from an amp, u have to match the gains properly and be almost exact. if not u'll kill the sub?

i'm currently runnin Atomic's AT5000.1 .. just killed one amp after 1 month of bumpin.. just 1 day b4 my first (my country's first) SPl competition man.. suxss!!

actually bro if you plan on doing this with an RF T4000.1bd or any other 2006 Rockford amp then your in luck.  The master/slave settings on them allow you to just daisy chain the amps with RCA's and call it a done deal.  No gain matching.  Set the gain, subsonic, frequency and bass knob are all on the master amp and the slave amps do exactly the same.  GREAT technology!  I think your biggest problem is gonna be putting that much power on a single 12 more than anything else.  Your just burping it right?  I wouldnt try slamming music with 9-10k on that single sub but burping you should probably be ok.

aniway, i'll be dumpin all that power into an APXX 12.. george from Atomic says his sub will take all the sh1t i can throw at it..

but for daily, i guess i'll just use 1 amp.. heheh..

cant wait to get my hands on those babies man!! u guys have all the good stuff over in the US.. i'm so jealous..
