Csaunders19 Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Hi I'm a low end bass head, and have purchased two orion hcca 15 dual 2 subs but after buying them I ran into a problem which robbed me of my put away money. So now I have a small budget like super low for amps I need to know what's the best amps to get to power these subs that sound good I'm looking to buy an amp for each speaker wireing them down to 1 ohm each. Right know I got my old PA 3000.1d amps on them and barely have any flex. My box is built to spec so I know it's not the box. I'm looking to spend under 1500 for two amps. Help me please.
Trey_Dog650 Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Populus audio has a great line of amps that's priced very well for the product 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.
Guest Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 your pure audio does like 2k at 1 ohm. wiring at 2 ohms, each woofer is probably seeing 500w. you just need 4k for under $1500? orion box spec isn't too great from what i remember...they want like 10sqin of port per cube for a woofer that can move like two inches. for 4000w worth of woofers, you can go with a soundqubed 3500.1. does 4300w. or a crescendo 5500. but you have dual 2's. so you either need to get a huge amp that can do 4k at 2 ohms, or two 2-2.5kw amps that you can strap. you can get two soundqubed 2200's and strap, for example. each amp will see 1 ohm when you wire to 2 ohms.
SMF93 Posted July 14, 2014 Report Posted July 14, 2014 750$ per amp aren't going to be budget amps IMO, but you should be able to pick up some quality amps
TDZ13 Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 What type of electrical are u working with? For 1500 you shouldn't have any issues finding a very quality amp(s) in your desired power range. 2006 Hyundai Sonata Lx - Alpine CDA-9885 - Rainbow CSX Comps - (2) 12" Sundown Zv4 - Sundown 5K - 4.6ft3 @ 33hz w/ 6" aeros sealed off in trunk - 250a Singer alt, Kinetik 1400, (2) 2400s - 150.4 @ Dash as of now
CleanSierra Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 Is flex what allows you to determine loud or not? This is just a question I have to begin to understand Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
phistula Posted July 25, 2014 Report Posted July 25, 2014 Two Rockford Fosgate t1000-1 amps will bump those subs. Heck, one t1000-1 will bump those subs leaving you enough for another amp for your highs, like the t600-4.
